What a busy weekend covering festivals across the GTA! First up, I covered the Fusion of Taste festival at Albion Islington Square. I sampled so much food (including my favorite gol gappe!), caught up with the Tigers: Tiger Jeet and Tiger Ali Singh, and chatted with popstar Prita Chhabra about keeping your roots alive. Prita, Parichay, Shiamak Davar dance troupe and tons of other performers kept me and my shooter dancing to the music. Love all of the amazing local talent we have here!

Next up, I checked out the inaugural Unity Festival in Markham and caught up with Mayor of Markham Frank Scarpetti and a few others about time capsules, diversity in Markham, and what the festival means to them.
