Shah Rukh Khan, wife Gauri, and kids Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam are in California right now. After being detained at the Los Angeles airport for two hours (as I reported here), SRK has moved on and focused on his original purpose: to visit the University of Southern California!

The whole family is there for a short vacation and to attend Aryan’s orientation at the university (he will be attending as a first year student to study film-making). Of course, SRK got recognized and some of the other students attending there got the chance to meet the star and click some selfies.

SRK tweeted out “at USC so many lovely young boys and girls. So many hugs. So many selfies. Thanks for the ‘crowded’ welcome. Fight on kids and rule.”

Can you imagine going to university and finding out your dorm roommate or study partner was the son of some big Bollywood star? I’m sure Aryan is going to do just fine—he’s in California and far away from Bollywood that he should be able to have a normal experience there…that is until his dad shows up to visit from time to time! 😉 Glad to see SRK’s trip has turned around for the better after a rough start.

Once his USA vacation is over, SRK will fly to Budapest to begin filming his new movie. He recently announced his next film will be with Anushka Sharma with Imtiaz Ali as director. It has no official title yet but right now they are referring to the film as “Production No. 52” as it’s Red Chillies Entertainment’s 52nd project. The film will be a love story but SRK explains it will not be your typical film. “Imtiaz has a different language of love. I told him I wanted to do a happy love story…but keeping my age in mind, it’s not an upbeat, young love story. But Imtiaz has a nice take on it. And hopefully, people will like it.”
