Hey guys!

Here is a little peek at the awesome contestants that competed for this year’s Miss India Canada!

I competed in this pageant many years ago…In fact this was my first ever beauty pageant! It holds a special place in my heart as it made me realize that 1. I can do anything I set my mind to and 2. I wouldn’t always succeed at first but that just meant I had to keep trying and improving until it was my time.

I didn’t win this pageant but I learned a lot from this experience (and I did go on to win Miss India Worldwide Canada!). I don’t know what made me compete in this pageant but it forever changed my life so I’ll always be grateful I went for it 🙂

I’m always a big supporter of young women becoming the best version of themselves. It isn’t easy at all to stand on stage in front of complete strangers and make a lasting impression in just 3 minutes. It takes practice to be able to feel comfortable on stage so I’m proud to see so many great girls in this year’s pageant!

The Miss India Canada pageant is celebrating their 25th anniversary and to mark it they had many special guests in the audience including many of the past winners. A VERY special guest appearance was made by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who hasn’t been to Canada in 7 years!
