Bollywood’s royal couple are expecting!

Saif Ali Khan just confirmed to the Indian Express newspaper that his wife Kareena Kapoor is expecting the couple’s first child!

This will be her first child. Saif has two children with his ex-wife Amrita Singh.

I have been hearing rumors of Kareena being pregnant, especially since some have claimed they have spotted small baby bump but I have seen those photos and I thought at the time it was too hard to tell. Just last month she was asked about a possible pregnancy in an interview to which she replied “God willing hopefully. I am a woman. But right now there is nothing to say about it.”

In a recent interview with Vogue Magazine, she was asked about pregnancy and work to which she said, “I have always said, I will work after marriage. I got married and I am still working. Now I am saying I will still have a child and my work will never suffer.”

For all you fans of Kareena’s films, don’t worry. She is scheduled to shoot for her new film “Veere Di Wedding” in August and then will take a break from films starting in October in order to prepare for the baby.

Here is the official statement from Saif:

“My wife and I would like to announce that we are expecting our first child in December. We would like to thank our well wishers for their blessings and support and also the press for their discretion and patience.”

The couple were married in 2012 after dating for five years.

Congratulations Kareena and Saif! Can’t wait for the royal baby to arrive!
