Emmys Fashion 2016 : The Best of The Red Carpet!
By amin | Comments: 0 | September 19, 2016Last night was the Emmy Awards where the best of American prime-time television were honoured. If you missed the show, you can read my recap here.
Let’s talk about the fashion. Overall I saw a lot of red and white (not together) colors on the red carpet along with prints and bold colors. The major trend on the red carpet was slicked-back hair, light jewellery, and fall-inspired makeup.
Here are some of my favourite looks from last night:
Taraji P. Henson: gorgeous in yellow. Drool!

Taraji P. Henson
Emilia Clarke: Love this. It’s simple, flattering, and elegant. The extra material on the top of her dress gives the illusion of a bigger bust which gives her an overall beautiful hourglass figure.

Emilia Clarke
Neve Campbell. I love the black with mermaid train. Very classy. But wish she had gone for a bolder lip like a nice red.

Neve Campbell
Kerry Washington. Hot Momma! This dress and her natural hair and makeup make her look like a goddess.
Priyanka Chopra: She wore a red gown that looked amazing on her skin tone and she looked like she had a blast wearing it. I caught her several times on the red carpet twirling around in the gown. Every girl should have fun in her dress right?
Sofia Vergara. A little bit of a different look from her and she looks amazing. I’m surprised we didn’t get to see more of her during the actual Emmys. I think the camera cut to her ONCE and that too while she stuff her face eating a sandwich.

Sofia
Padma Lakshmi: Gorgeous in a body-hugging silver dress. This is a very TOUGH dress to pull off (and very unforgiving!) but Padma does it perfectly!
Niecy Nash: Another bombshell in a body-hugging dress last night. Wow! This is the best I have ever seen her.

Tori Kelly: very old Hollywood. The dress is simple yet flattering and she plays it up with that side part and curls. I like that she looks like she isn’t trying hard, you know?

Heidi Klum: after falling on my worst dressed list previously, it’s nice to see her redeem herself! This dress looks incredible on her and is very well suited to her personality.
Â
My BEST DRESSED of the night goes to…Kristen Bell in Zuhair Murad. Love this gown. The print and cut is beautiful on her. I’m so in love with this dress. I NEED to get one just like it!

I LOVE this gown!!!
On the FENCE picks (I don’t HATE the dress but I don’t LOVE it either):
Sarah Paulson: This green dress just hangs off her tiny frame. I like the color but the dress makes her look so skinny.

America Ferrera: The dress is a shrug. She looks good but the dress isn’t anything special you know?
Â
Kathryn Hahn. I’m not a fan of the velvet and the style. It’s a nice color but the dress does nothing for her.
Ellie Kemper: The lime green color kind of hurts my eyes and against her light skin and red hair…I don’t think it was the best color for her. I like her hair and makeup and she looks incredible for just having a baby in August but wish she had chosen a different dress.
