We need more women like Amal Clooney using their “celebrity status†to make a positive difference in the world!
This week a video was released to the media where George and Amal Clooney met with Syrian refugees in Berlin. The couple heard how these families were forced to flee due to the conflict in their home country. Amal and George also revealed how their own families were once refugees.

“My own family is from Lebanon and they also ran away from a war, and were lucky enough to be accepted by a European country in 1982 while the violence there was really bad. I hope that as you say, you will be able to go back to a safe and free Syria.â€
It was also announced that Amal will be visiting India this Thursday to speak at a conclave in Delhi to speak on human rights and freedom of expression in India. Amal, who specializes in international law and human rights, will be part of the India Today Conclave 2016.

Freedom of speech and intolerance are two issues in India that have stirred up debates across the country regarding India’s future.
Bollywood’s Sanjay Dutt, who just recently was released from jail, will also present at the two-day conclave and speak about his difficult road to freedom.
