Last night was the most prestigious awards night for Indian cinema. It was the International Indian Film Academy awards aka the IIFA awards and this year the star-studded awards took place in Madrid, Spain. Like every year, there were a ton of celebs that flew in to celebrate the best of Indian cinema, to get dressed up in the best fashion (for the full fashion recap, click here), and of course…to hopefully win! In case you missed the show, here is the recap!

The hosts of the evening were Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar who made their entrance on donkeys and were great in bringing the laughs.

Throughout the show there were a number of grand Bollywood performances. Priyanka Chopra performed to songs that she had sang herself.

Sonakshi Sinha paid tribute to actress Sridevi even though the actress wasn’t even at the awards show. Tiger Shroff paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson with his performance.

As for Deepika’s performance, did anyone else catch her blowing a kiss to boyfriend Ranveer and say “for you” to him at the end of her performance? Cute!

Of course it’s not just about the fashion and performances. The awards recognize the best of Indian cinema in 2015. Bajirao Mastani was a big winner of the night with 13 awards won including awards for cinematography, costume design, background score, choreography, special effects, actions sequences, sound, and production design while Priyanka Chopra not only won an award for her acting but was recognized for her global achievements.
